Photogram, 2004
This series of photograms was made with trophies collected from junk shops, garage sales and dust bins. I was drawn to the generic forms of the female and male figures represented in trophies. Yet, I was also intrigued by the specificity of the gestures the figure demonstrate. Each positions is designed to convey the instance when the individual's performance is exceptional and heroic - the encapsulation of the "winning moment".
